So to get the girls amped up with us we made a paper chain last week. They loved it, they even dressed in their BSU outfits to celebrate.
I couldn't help but think there was some way I could make this better, make it permanent. Something that every year I could take out to get excited. So I created along with my momma a Kickoff Countdown Calendar. At first my mom was not impressed. She laughed even. Then I dragged her to JoAnn's with me to pick out fabric, telling her the whole time that I would make it. Even though I knew deep down that she couldn't stand it if I made it and would cave and do the whole thing. So after a few minutes of digging through pattern books, laughing hysterically at bibs for the elderly ( shoot me if I ever need one please) we finally decided that we didn't need a pattern. So we created our own dimensions, got some ribbon, a dowel, some football accents and we were headed home. But not before the woman at the cut counter told me that I am bordering on obsessive. Now my mom told me that we weren't going to have time to do it then...... right. But I convinced her otherwise. I have to say that I did help iron, and stencil the numbers, but other than that it is all my momma. She admitted once it was finished that she did really like it, just not in her house :) I have to say that I LOVE it. Every morning when I get up, I can't wait to move the football to the next spot. I have to hurry and beat Chloe to it. So in an hour it will be 16 days till kick off and we are ready!!! Go Big Blue xoxo
