Tonight B and I celebrated our Valentines Day. It was a total surprise to him and it turned out to be a total surprise to me too. My friend Nicole and I had a detoxing foot bath last weekend and when we got done we saw a sign for a Tantra Couples Class being held the following week. We laughed, and thought how funny it would be to sign up and not tell our husbands what we were doing. So we did. We talked my sister in law into coming too. Weird, I know. Tantra with your friends and family. I had somewhat limited knowledge on what to expect but I had some prescreening questions for the yoga lady. She promised me no funny business, no trading partners and all clothing would be kept on. (you just never know) So tonight was the night, we got ready, dropped our girls off and headed to the Yoga studio. We pulled up a few minutes early so B was looking around trying to figure out what we were doing. Finally he saw the sign, but still didn't know what it meant. My brother in law pulling up and figuring it out was hilarious. We got our blankets and pillow out of the car and headed in. Don't worry I won't go into too much detail here, lets just say there were some moments that were great, and some that were the most uncomfortable moments ever. Brandon kept telling me that he felt like we were in a movie. A lot of it was sitting, facing B and "soul gazing" . Basically you look into each others eyes and answer questions to each other. There were a few moments of giggling, but once we really started talking it was great. We were able to connect to each other and have quiet moments together. It was an experience that we will never forget, our teacher was very ecentric which to live that life style, you have to be. But she had some one liners that were repeated through out the evening and will probably be repeated for life now thanks to our husbands. Afterwards they all agreed that we are not able to plan the dates ever again, but I sort of think they learned a few things and it wasn't as horrible as they would make everyone believe. It was a one time thing, and I don't see us going to any more classes. Although I teased B and told him that for his birthday I booked a three day weekend in the rainforest to study Tantra with our teacher :) xoxo
Seeing the sign :)
