This year Chloe got to write her letter to Santa. I love that Macy's has a gigantic red mailbox that delivers straight to the North Pole too. Plus for every letter donated Macy's makes a donation to the Make-a-wish foundation. So this year we wrote our letter and then headed to the mall to mail it. Chloe was so excited that her friends Kole and Allie met her there! Then we were off to see the Fat bearded guy :) On the way to the mall Chloe asked me if Santa was real. A little dillema for me because I have had a hard time really explaining Santa and then also explaining Jesus. I want my kids to know to trust and to belive in Jesus. but I also want them to have an imagination and believe in Santa. I don't however want the two to blur together. So I asked her what she thought. She tells me that she thinks Santa is just make believe. I can't lie, I was a little crushed that this might be then end of the believing part. So I ask her, well so how do you get all those presents. She sat and thought for a moment and said, Oh..... he's magic. Phew, she still believes. Even better to get to meet him and then she was sold on the idea that he is real.

so so cute friend. I agree with you about the whole santa/jesua thing, kind of a hard discussion. I like the believing part, I grew up never believing because I understood the "jesus" part so it's fun to know Malia believes...and jesus will come soon enough;)
