Dateline
Tonight B and I had quite the reality check. I recorded us a show from last week all about dangerous situations and kids. There was a part in the show that showed a group of 4-7 year olds. They all talked about how much their parents were on their phones and how it made them feel. All of them felt that they weren't loved by their parents, that their parents didn't have time for them. It broke my heart. We both looked at eachother and we know that we are so GUILTY of this. I am a crackberry addict, and he is a fantasy football addict and is constantly checking his team on the computer. So many times we tell Chloe to be quiet because we are busy. Seriously! Busy doing what?!? We are so selfish. So tonight we made a pact with eachother. No more texting, facebooking, fantasy footballing, googling, nothing while the girls are awake. When they are in bed, that's our free time. And really that's simple. They both go to bed at eight, so there is no excuses. So we decided that we needed a code word incase one of us falls off of the wagon. So we chose Dateline, to remind us that our kids are more important than any phone call or text message. So if you call and we are MIA its because we are playing dress up and dolls with the girls. xoxo
