Vogel Farms
This last Tuesday my mom, Lila and the girls and I drove out to a farm in Kuna. My mom has recently been talking about only buying organic meats/eggs/milk. I thought she was crazy but the more I looked into it, the more I realized that I have NO idea what they are putting into the food my family and I eat. Now I breastfeed my kiddos for the first 12 months of their lives because I believe that is what is best for them, then they turn one and I really don't know what sort of chemicals, and hormones are in the food that they eat. How asinine is that. So off we went to Vogel Farms. It was so much fun. First off the owner of the farm came right up to our car to greet us, she then took us into her country market to show us a few of the things they had to offer. The prices were so so comprable to the grocery store. Infact the ground beef was cheaper by the pound than Walmart. She then took us out to show us a few of the farm animals that they had which Chloe wasn't so sure about. Then we went into their greenhouse. The best part about this is that they will grow anything, and they will even get what you want started for you so that you can keep it alive. Wow, not sure that any place will do that for you. Then we ventured into their large cooler, inside here was lots of meat and tons of milk. They do so many great things, They deliver to your homes, they do custom orders, they have a customer punch card (I love a good punch card), they host apple picking and pumpkin patches. Check them out on facebook to find out all about the daily happenings at the farm. I know we will only be getting our meat and milk from them. Cheers!!
