"You can be right, but wrong at the top of your voice"
Have you ever really thought about how your tone can be perceived? Brandon is always telling me that my tone of voice isn't very nice at times. Here I think I am proving my point but really I am just making him more angry because of how I am saying it, not what I am saying. I have really tried to work on this, and I think that we all should. Sometimes it is hard when you really want to get your point across but the words are just so hard to say that it sounds a little naggy. Even when I am out in public and I might not be in the best mood, how I say things to people directly affects the way the will respond to me. This saying is part of our love and respect book and when I read this section, I think I highlighted every line. ( I am a highlighter for sure). but it just never hit me that this is my problem. As Oprah would say my light bulb moment. Now I am not claiming to be over this issue that I have but I now have an awarness and I will continue to work on my "tone" :) xoxo

This is totally me! I think part of it has to do with Steve ignoring what I say so I think if I say it louder he will listen:) I'm totally impatient (yes and I teach 2 year olds)haha.
