Kudos
Kudos to my daughter who stayed in bed the FiRsT time we put her in it at 8:30...... Kudos to my daughter who stayed in bed ALL NiGhT long, and woke up after my alarm!!! Yay!!! So the story is Chloe has always been the best sleeper, always. I would laugh (on the inside, I'm not that heartless) when people would tell me that their kiddos woke up all night long. I would secretly think geez, my child is amazing she never does that. Then one fateful day in May she got sick, really sick. So we slept with her for four nights in the living room while we all recovered. Then from that night on, we would put her down at 8:00 and maybe by 9:30 or so after a dozen trips to the bathroom and a glass of milk she would finally give in and fall asleep in her own bed. But at 2:00 am or so she would make her way back into our room demanding milk. At first we thought fine she's thirsty, but then would she would return at 4:00 am we were just a tad bit upset by her constant awakening. This has gone on since May and we have tried EvErYtHiNg. We even tried locking her in her room. Needless to say, I give in way to easy and could not handle the terrified three year olds request to open her door. Seriously folks, it was tramatic. I do not want to be the cause of therapy for my children or any claustrophobia in her future. So I unlocked it and held her till she stopped crying. Don't worry, she still got up a few times that night. But finally, finally last night we had a full night's sleep. She went to bed, stayed there all night and woke up after I was done with breakfast. One can only imagine my delight. I got to watch the Today show, not Dora for once. I texted Brandon and he said that I had no idea how wonderful he felt. See since I have a ginormous belly and getting in and out of bed isn't as easy for me, and the fact that I sleep very soundly my very amazing husband is usually the one who gets up with Chloe and gets her back in bed. Now I am very appreciative but I can't help but enjoy it because I know that once this lil baby is born I will be the one that is up atleast that much everynight feeding her. So I think this is the Lord's way of preparing us, and giving Brandon a slight taste of what I will go through every night for awhile :) I knew there was a reason :) Anyways Thank the Lord for a sleeping child, and for a happy husband because really that is the best things in life :) xoxo

We had this same thing happen with Madelyn when she was about 8 months old. When we moved from Las Vegas back to Boise we had to pack up her crib and for 3 or 4 days while we were moving and living out of boxes she slept with Terry and I on our matress in our bedroom. We got her crib put back together on the 4th day but it was too late, the damage was done....she didn't sleep in her own room for an entire night until she was 14 months old! Because of that experience Terry and I have been extra careful with Macy, the poor thing never gets to sleep with us cuz we are too nervous that if she does it even once that she will be doing it for several months to come! Lol!
So glad you guys got a peaceful nights rest, hopefully she does well again tonight!
