happily ever after

I have to blog about how ridiculous this whole thing with onemillionmoms is. I am just appalled that there are groups out there that are like this. If you haven't heard, let me catch you up. It was brought to my attention yesterday that there is a group of women who have a cult like mentality and they go around and protest, bash, and even sling hate towards companies, groups, and individuals. I have never heard of them, but did hear that they have an affliation with the Westboro church. Don't even get me started on them. Ellen Degeneres has signed on to be the face of JCPenney, now in my opinion this was a great move for the company. I don't shop there much, but I will now. This group of haters have responded and they are disgusted that she is representing them, stating that they will lose the majority of their customers because she doesn't represent a traditional family or values. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? She probably has the biggest heart of any celebrity and she does nothing but give. She is always helping out schools, shelters, victims of this economy, victims of national disasters.  They state that the bible is against her choices, and so we should condem her and boycott anything that has her name attached. Not sure what bible these women are reading but the one I read commands me to NOT Judge others. It is not up to me, it is up to Him. And he also teaches us to Love everyone. NO matter what. He loves every single one of us. They state that they are Christians but Christians do not go around and protest people for who they are. I was so proud of what Ellen said on her show yesterday, gave me tears in my eyes. The amount of crap that she has to put up with would make most of us crazy, but she handled herself with dignity and class. I am standing in support of her and every other company that they are claiming we shouldn't subject our children too. I'm sorry, but I would much rather my child be gay then mean. These women are nothing but bullies who are going to teach their children that this is the right way to live. I feel sorry for the children and can't imagine what they will do when some of them grow up and are gay. Geez, what will they do then? Not love them anymore?? It so awful and makes my heart hurt. Some of the comments (not from their supporters) on their fb page made me laugh. One of them said " Could you tell all the straight people to stop having gay children please", haha! I hope that the world will one day wake up and realize that the way we treat people has an effect and that if we continue this way our world will never be a better place. I want my babies to grow up and live however they want. Not what I want. I want them to look at everyone no matter their race, the sexual orientation, their financial situation and love and accept them. I feel that if we could all teach our children this then world peace would be easy.
