She did good, she was quite the silly thing, playing with her hair while watching the other kids run around. haha, she's so my daughter! They don't keep score yet, however my nephew did and we lost. Only by two, and I swear one of the girls on the other team was wayyyyyy older. I almost requested a birth certificate, she couldn't be six. We've been hanging out with our awesome friends a bunch and it makes me hopeful that summer is around the corner.
Lily took a header into our glass door on the entertainment center on Friday. I have yet to get a picture of it, but it is HuGe. She has a blue circle the size of a half dollar with a big line down the middle. Poor thing, she cried for a minute and then was over it. I however called B and thought about heading to the ER. Luckily he is the calm, cool, and collected and talked me down. Love that.
hmmmm what else....... been shopping for Seattle, which is coming up. Couldn't get here any sooner. A weekend away?? yes please :) We also went and visited a new church today. I was pessimistic while getting ready because I really like our church. However B wanted to try this one and felt led to ask us to go. So I went. I am not a fan of church nurseries. I feel like they are full of older women who are only there because they have to be. So I was determined to keep Lily with us during the service. Chloe happily went to the children's church and Lily wasn't so happily sitting with me. We took her into the cry room, but that was almost more miserable because she kept throwing fits, and when I knew there was still an hour to go and I wouldn't learn a thing. I threw my hands up and told B that I knew we shouldn't have come. So as we were walking over to get Chloe I realized that I was being selfish and that I hadn't really given the church a chance. So we went and peaked at the nursery. It seemed fine, lots of young moms and tons of toys. Lily was pointing and clapping and I knew she would be just fine without us and we might actually get an hour to be with the Lord, quietly. So I did it, I left her in there and clung to the pager during the service. It is amazes me just how much the Lord speaks through sermons. It's like it is written just for us every time we go. (Which as a believer, I know) but I always sit and smile because it is always just what we needed to hear. I was pleasently surprised at how well it went, Lily did awesome and Chloe couldn't stop gushing about her new friend. Think we may have made headway on a big part of our lives that needs to come together. xoxo
