Easter weekend was so crazy crazy busy!! We had such a fabulous weekend. We started the holiday off early at Chloe's school. She was so excited to wear her dress, and I was so excited for Lily to join her! I stayed up way tooooo late making some delicious rice krispie treats for the kiddos and getting eggs filled :) We picked Chloe up and to our surprise the Easter bunny was there! So we tried a picture, and that didn't go too well. So I had the brilliant idea to take the two of them to Target to get some photos done....... come on, I had a coupon...... so after about an hour of sweating in that little room (really why is it sooo tiny??) we got a few shots. My favorite part of the day was when I was explaining to the girl that I really just wanted like two pictures, I didn't plan on buying much more than that, and personally they weren't very good. The girl says to me, "Well since your a member, you could just get a package for really cheap." so I ask her what that price is, she says "Only $97.00". Only. I started laughing, which was probably mean, but really that is ridiculous for how not great the photos were. So I spent $8.97. haha. Bet she loved me :)

Saturday morning Chloe had a soccer game bright and early...... Afterwards my awesome mom came and joined the girls and I for a neighborhood Easter Egg hunt. The girls had fun, but we were literally there for like ten minutes. After that we came back and opened up gifts from Nana. She is such a loving Nana and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.

We celebrated Easter with the Gross' on Saturday night and had a HUGE Easter egg hunt with the three oldest grandkids. I think I  had more fun, stuffing the eggs and watching them hunt than they did actually doing it!! and of course I forgot my camera...... so no pics of that night. It's always a party with the Gross'.

The next morning........ well. I was awoken by my Chloe telling me that the Easter bunny had shown up, and that she already saw what she got.... awesome. So then she crawls in bed with us and we all drift off into slumber for a bit. Then we hear Miss Lil. I am lucky that she can't get out of bed yet. So we all go in there to get her and she isn't so thrilled about getting up. Brandon and I run to the living room and wait for them to come bounding around the corner. Here's what we get :

Awesome girls, really?!? It was quite anticlimatic and I was pretty dissapointed. I even made B turn off the video camera because I wanted to cry and didn't want him to catch me being a baby on film :) So once they were done throwing tantrums..... they found their goods. I am super glad that the one thing they both liked and are still playing with today are the $1 balls I found at 11:00 pm at Walmart the night before Easter. Hilarious. Luckily they snapped out of it, once they smelled my delicious Cinnamon Rolls cooking away.

We then headed off to church and Lily got her workout in. We get to sit with the rest of the congregation for about ten minutes and then one of us gets to chase her around the church for about 45 min and then the other one rescues and persues the chase for another 20. It's great.

Then we headed off to Grandmas house. Grandma's house is awesome. We have every Easter there, and it never dissapoints. She goes all out with food, gifts for everyone and she is never short on hugs for the kids. Even the big kids :) We just love her and appreciate her.

We saw this Cheeeeese face all day.

We were sooooo tired after a long day and were looking forward to getting home, till we opened the back door of the truck and realize that Eric and Lila had driven away with our carseat............. So we borrowed Grandma's and headed to the Marjonen's to get ours back. After a few rounds of Pig....... we were finally headed home. All of us were in bed by 8 and snoring by 8:15 :) It was a very blessed day and we are continually grateful for the life that we have been given. I know that this life is a gift and we are able to celebrate it by Christ dying on the cross for our sins. Chloe put it perfectly . She said our prayer on Saturday night and she said " Dear Lord, Thank you for this beloved dinner and thank you Lord for dying on the cross and rosen again." xoxo
