happily ever after

I don't think I am cut out for opinion based websites asking for advice. So lemme catch you up. I am a Lactivist. Yes, I nurse my children and have for ten months. I plan on nursing till one year, I don't co-sleep, I don't bed-share, I don't wave my boobs around in public and glare at every mom in the formula aisle. I am just a mom who chose to give my baby my milk. There is nothing wrong with either choice, it is my choice my own. I love nursing, I love the bond I have with my girls, I love knowing that I alone sustained their little lives since they were born. So naturally I joined a group on Facebook with other Lacitivists. Some more extreme than me and some I am sure that are semi embarrased for these women that put it all out there. So tonight there was a post asking for advice. I simply stated that I am all for the cry it out method. Call me mean, call me in humane. but I need my sleep as much as my little one. However, I failed to read the part about the baby being three months old. I know some mom's who let them cry very young and others who wouldn't hear of letting their little ones cry for a minute. I am a middle of the road mom, I start at like eight to nine months old and let them cry. Do I always give in, nope. But I do go get her and nurse her back to sleep. Guess what she is ten months old and she is still waking up........ so I am not doing it too good right now. So after I posted that I was blasted, and seriously she used ALL CAPS. Must mean she was fuming mad on the other end of her keyboard. Whoops. I just don't think that I am cut out to give my opionins to these women who are so full of their own "advice" to not scream in a sense at anyone else's advice. Whatev. She's probably some women who has a four year old attached to her chest and a two year old on the other. I think for now I will just keep my advice to those who solicite it. and please don't leave me a million comments about nursing, sleeping, and your advice, unless you use all CAPS :) ha ha. xoxo
