I am currently listening to a revised version of Lily crying it out. Anyone want a copy? It's a seemingly soft mix of a beautiful four month old, with slight variations of a newborn cry. There are a few pauses, but she gets right back into it after that. So far it is approximently 16 minutes long but I am sure it will be longer once completed, just let me know.........................
So since I am forced to endure this madness known as operation get Lily to sleep at a healthy hour for me I figured I would blog. I am over all the ickiness of Valentines day and have even made up with my valentine. We decided that maybe we should try laughing when things get rough around here. These girls are already putting us at odds so I can imagine that it will get worse once puberty hits. Chloe says some of the funniest things lately. Like we asked her what was her favorite thing about having a sister and she tells us, her spit up. Huh? no idea, but we assumed that she meant when Lily spits up Chloe gets to go get us a burp cloth and that must make her feel special. Who knows, we thought it was funny. She also was given about thirty stuffed animals for Valentines day and if you know me, you know I hate stuffed animals. They really serve no purpose and take up a ton of room. Remember pet nets? I had one as a child and I am shocked my mother let me have one, well not entirely shocked since two of the newest stuffed animals came from her house. but come on, kids don't really play with them and if they do they have one that they love and don't except any new comers. Especially my child. So here I sit with two bears, a gorilla, and a monkey. Silly Valentines day.
Lily is still making not so happy noises in her room, length 22 minutes. The pediatrician said that I could let her cry for two hours if I need to. Seriously, thats mean. I couldn't handle that. I am only doing this to apease my husband because he would like to know what its like to be married again. I usually fall asleep on the couch and come to our bed like 3 am. Think he's feeling a little neglected, and I am usually exhausted all day long, not to mention my back isn't appreciative of my sleeping choices. So here I am 24 minutes into this cry it out and I am starting to cave......
