Hotdogs, and Fire trucks

As a child the Fourth of July was a holiday that I looked forward to, getting together with family, eating hotdogs and hamburgers, and of course watching the fireworks. My Grandma's birthday was July 5th, so every year we would get together to celebrate her. It is always hard during the holiday's but this one is especially hard. I love sharing with Chloe all of the things that my grandma meant to me. Her name was Julia Jeanne, we gave Chloe her middle name Jeanne. Chloe resembles her, with her curly hair and soft eyes. My Grandma was a saint, a true pure heart. She loved her family, and she raised three teenagers by herself. I pray that I will give to Chloe and to my children what she gave to us. I miss her to my core, and I know that she is my angel that looks after me.
This year, we headed up to the lake for some fun in the sun! Chloe had such a great time with her cousin Reagan, and Nana and Papa. Jackie and Shawn invited us up to do some wakeboarding and some sun bathing. Brandon did so awesome wakeboarding, he hasn't been in quite some time, and it was such a blast watching him go.

That evening the three of us decided to stay home and bbq together. What a great decision, we were all so sun kissed and tired that it was nice being able to spend some quiet time and be able to veg for awhile. Around ten oclock we headed down to a local park by our house. Chloe was two hours past bed time so she was becoming a little delirious! She was super excited to see some "fire trucks" (fireworks). I am not sure why she thought they were called fire trucks though :) It was a beautiful evening, Grandee and Grandad joined us in the park and the whole time Chloe would yell "yay, firetrucks" as loud as she could. We laughed the entire time. After that we headed to Jake and Andrea's where all the kids crashed and all the adults enjoyed a warm campfire. It was the perfect day.
