Quinella or something like that :)

So Friday night I headed to the races, although these weren't the typical races that I am used too. The races that we usually attend involve gasoline, and motors! But my good friend Angela was in town so we decided to head for a girls night at the Horse Races!!

This being my first race I was certaintly excited! So I picked up the girls and we headed down to Les Bois park. So I could not for the life of me call it "betting" just didn't sound right so I decided to "vote" for my favorites. Ang taught me a great way to pick a winner...... by their names. So that is what we did. We headed for the booth to "vote" and I swear the lady thought we were crazy, but Angela's husband Jeremy told us to pick a $2.00 Quinella which I learned is picking first and second place.... yeah right. I picked Looming Large, and Majestic Willie..... too interesting a story to go into details :) We headed up to our box and got ready. I didn't realize that the track is actually very long, and after they went past us the first time, I was bored. and my horses weren't winning. So I decided not to watch. Until they rounded the last corner and there my Looming Large was out in first, I noticed too that Majestic Willie wasn't very far behind.... Now I am up on my feet, cheering like the Super Bowl.... and before you know it the darn horses actually won! I Won!!! I was so excited that I took my own picture!

Overall I left the house with $20.00 came home with $19.00. I had a 1/4 of a beer :), dinner, pretzel, and paid for parking! Doesn't get much better than that! Love you girls, had a great time!!!
