Happy Fathers Weekend!!

This year for Father's Day we decided to make a whole weekend out of it! In Gross family fashion, we headed for the desert to do some motorcycle riding. It was such a fun time!! The best part was being with family and seeing how happy the guys were. Brandon is such an amazing husband, dad, brother, son and grandson. He is the reason that our family is complete and he makes it worth being a part of. We also had all the kids out there, and mine was filthy. Now normally I would be chasing her around with a wet wipe all day but I truly tried to relax and let her play. Although I did wipe her down a few times:) She was in heaven, getting to play in the dirt with the boys and smashing bugs, which the kids thought was so funny.
Brandon's grandpa and grandma came out to spend time with all of us, which was bittersweet. Grandpa was diagnosed with esophagel cancer last month and has since been very ill. Although he would never let on that he was. I know that it made the boy's day to be able to show their Grandpa all their riding skills and to be able to spend this day with him. He is such a loving and caring man and it has been a rough road so far, we pray everyday that the Lord will heal him and help him to not have pain. Cancer sucks. We spent about five hours or so out in the desert, with lots of motor's running and no napping for the kids. All in all I can say it was a very successful day!!

On Sunday we ended up swimming at Brandon's Aunt's house in the afternoon, I was a nervous wreck as Chloe decided that she should jump off the diving board!! Luckily Auntie Lila was there to catch her, but it was still scary (for me). Chloe loved it, she kept jumping off the side of the pool and she loved playing with her cousins.
Then we headed over to the Pritchett house for some very delicious steak and chicken. It was such a relaxing evening and so great to hang out with my dad and watch him play with Chloe. They just bought a new swing set, which Chloe is obsessed with. My dad is so patient with her, and will help her up and down as much as she wants. I love watching them together and I love that she is getting the time to bond with him. I have always been Daddy's little girl, but I think that I can share him with her :)
