Smitten

Oh how I love thee............ Today is our six year wedding anniversary. It is amazing to me that we have already been married that long. Great enough it is eleven years together. and I am only 26. Here's our story.

It was May 28,1999 and I was fresh off of a break up and sooooo depressed. My friend Candance thought it would be a great time to get out of the house and meet her older friends. So off I went to Capital high schools graduation. I sat down and was nervous about all the guys because I had seen them at school but had never spoke to them. Then all of a sudden this guy comes and sits next to me. He's super cute, and I am instantly attracted. He introduces himself as Brandon and I was in love. We chatted through out the ceremony and that was it. He had a cell phone.... like a Zach Morris cell phone but I thought he was so cool. I went home that night got my year book and showed my mom. She starts laughing and say's "lyns, I picked him for you". I was so confused. Turns out a few years earlier my mom had went to his parents house for a football parents meeting. (our brothers played together) and she saw him and told his mom, he would be perfect for my daughter. I was 13 at the time, so of course she was somewhat kidding. How crazy that two years later here I was showing off his picture and doodling his name. After that night we decided to hang out. I couldn't believe that I was hanging out with all the seniors, I was a sophmore at the time. Ever since that day, we have been together. We talked on the phone one night for seven hours, and both our phones died at the same time. We both knew then that that was it. We went through some heartache together, we went through some amazing times but no matter what we have always come through together. We were married five years after we began dating. We had a lot of people tell us we were too young, and that we needed to wait. But in our hearts, and after a lot of prayer we knew this was the right decision. We bought our first home on May 28,2004, five years to the day that we had met. We made our own oasis, we traveled, we slept in and on May 28,2006 we welcomed our first daughter Chloe. Our real adventure begun that day, we connected on a whole other level. We learned how to become a family of three and we did it together. Then on October 14,2009 we welcomed another beautiful daughter Lily. This journey has been so exciting. Brandon takes care of us like I always knew he would. He is a wonderful husband, father, friend, and the rock for our family. I love him more today than I did back in 1999. I know everyone says that, but I truly have a deep love and connection to him. We just get eachother. We are sarcastic, we are corny, and we are totally mushy when it's just us. We love watching Pawn Stars together, and occasionally enjoy each other's movies. We love to eat licorice together, and we love spending time with the girls. Today we are going to watch another couple get married. How fantastic it is to share our day with another great couple. Its been tough at times and it's been over the top amazing at times. No matter what life gives us, we will still be riding this journey together in fifty years. xoxo
